Step 5: Configuring network mappings

Specify a corresponding target virtual network for each source virtual network associated with the virtual machines to establish mapping relationships. After virtual machine migration is complete, the source NICs will be automatically associated with the corresponding target virtual networks based on the configured network mapping.

Procedure

  1. Select a corresponding target virtual network from the drop-down list for each source virtual network.

Network mappings are grouped by target cluster. The title of each group displays the cluster name and the number of virtual machines to be mapped. Each group lists the source virtual networks involved by all virtual machines in the cluster.

To map all source networks under the same cluster to the same target network, click Bulk edit mappings in the upper-right corner of the group. In the dialog box, select the target network and apply the change. The system will overwrite all existing mappings in the group.

A checkbox is displayed to the left of each source network row, and all checkboxes are selected by default. If a source network does not need to be mapped to the target, clear the checkbox to exclude it from the network mapping.

    Information:

Even if the virtual machine to be migrated does not have virtual NICs, you must specify a target network for it. The migrated virtual machine will be associated with this network.

  2. After completing all mapping configurations, click the arrow icon (>) on the right side of the top wizard bar to proceed to Step 6: Configuring virtual machines.
