Metadata snapshot and copy-on-write technology have been utilized to produce snapshots in seconds. When a snapshot is taken, only metadata is saved, and data blocks are copied only when a write operation is performed on them. This significantly reduces snapshot creation time and minimizes additional storage consumption of snapshots.
