Shutting down source virtual machines (only when powered on)

Procedure

  1. Confirm the source virtual machines that need to be shut down and follow the instructions accordingly.

    • Shutting down the source virtual machines in a single migration task: Click Shut down the source VM in the corresponding task entry.
    • Shutting down the source virtual machines in selected migration tasks: Tick all target task entries, click the ellipsis (...) in the upper right corner, and select Shut down the source VM.
    • Shutting down the source virtual machines in all migration tasks: Click View at the right of the top banner to open the Next operation dialog box.
  2. Select a method to shut down the source virtual machines.

    • Manually shut down virtual machines on the source site (recommended): You need to log in to the source cluster and manually shut down the source virtual machines via the operating system. After you have successfully shut down the source virtual machines, click I've done that.
    • Forcibly shut down virtual machines on the source site using Arcfra Migration Tool: Confirm the one or more virtual machines that need to be shut down and click Shut down. Arcfra Migration Tool will automatically shut down the selected source virtual machines.
  3. After you have successfully shut down the source virtual machines, click I've done that.

After shutting down one or more source virtual machines, Arcfra Migration Tool will start migrating the incremental data.
