Host details

You can access the host list and overview page to learn about the detailed information about hosts, including the host basic information, host usage, host location, SCVM information (for VMware ESXi), hardware information, monitoring information, and the information about the virtual machines on the host.

  • Host list

    You can select an organization, data center, cluster, or active-active cluster in the left sidebar of the AOC homepage to access the corresponding page. On this page, select Host to access the host list. The host list will display information about all hosts within the selected resource range.

  • Host overview page

    You can select the target host in the left sidebar of the AOC homepage, or click the target host in the host list to view its detailed information.

Host information

Parameter Description
Name The name of the host.
Total CPU The CPU model of the host.
CPU architecture The CPU architecture of the host.
Total CPU The number of physical cores of all CPUs on the host × frequency.
CPU vendor The host CPU vendor.
CPU sockets The number of CPU sockets on the host.
CPU compatibility model The CPU model that ACOS selects for the CPU based on the CPU instruction set.
Memory The total amount of physical memory on the host.
Server model The model of the server.
IOMMU status Whether the host supports and enables IOMMU:
  • In effect: The host has IOMMU enabled and has been rebooted for IOMMU to take effect.
  • Pending reboot: The host has enabled IOMMU but has not been rebooted.
  • Not enabled: The host supports IOMMU, but IOMMU is disabled.
  • Not supported: The host architecture does not support IOMMU or the cluster virtualization platform is not AVE.
Uptime

In an ACOS (AVE) cluster, it displays the duration of time from the host's last boot or reboot to the current time.

In an ACOS (VMware ESXi) cluster, it displays the duration of time from the ESXi host's last boot or reboot to the current time.

Current time The current system time of the host.
Management IP The management IP address of the host.
Storage IP The storage IP address of the host.
Migration IP If a migration network is planned for the cluster, it displays the migration IP address of the host.
Access IP (AVE) When the ACOS (AVE) cluster functions as a storage cluster and provides storage services for nodes outside the cluster, it displays the access IP address of the host.
IPMI IP The IPMI IP address of the host.
Serial number The hardware serial number of the host.

Host usage information

Parameter Description
Status The status of the host, including:
  • Healthy
  • Initializing
  • Abnormal
    • Storage service error
    • Storage service disconnection
    • Poor storage network quality
  • Not responding
Used CPU The used CPU frequency on the host.
Total vCPU allocation The total number of vCPUs assigned to all virtual machines on the host.
Exclusive threads available When the CPU exclusive function is enabled, it displays the number of physical cores of the CPU that have been exclusively used by virtual machines × the total number of threads per CPU core.
Exclusive threads in use When the CPU exclusive function is enabled, it displays the number of physical cores of the CPU that can be exclusively used by virtual machines × the total number of threads per CPU core.
System-reserved CPU cores The number of CPU cores on the host reserved for the system.
Shared CPUs allocated The total number of shared vCPUs assigned to all virtual machines on the host.
Shared CPU allocation for active VMs The total number of vCPUs allocated to all Running and Suspended virtual machines on the host.
Used memory The amount of used physical memory on the host.
Total HDD capacity The total capacity of all HDDs on the host.
NVMe SSD total capacity The total capacity of all NVMe SSDs on the host.
SATA/SAS SSD total capacity The total capacity of all SATA SSDs and SAS SSDs on the host.
Labels The labels associated with the host.

Host location information

Parameter Description
Data center The data center to which the host belongs.
Cluster The cluster to which the host belongs.
Availability zone The availability zone to which the host belongs in an active-active cluster.

SCVM information

SCVM information is displayed only when the virtualization platform is VMware ESXi.

Parameter Description
Host name The host name of the SCVM.
Memory allocation The amount of memory allocated to the SCVM.
vCPU allocation The number of vCPUs allocated to the SCVM.
Uptime The length of time since the SCVM was last booted or rebooted to the current time.

Arcfra system disk information

When installing the ACOS image file, if you have selected Installing ACOS on hardware RAID 1 consisting of two physical disks, you can view the Arcfra system disk information.

Arcfra system disk details

Parameter Description
Device name The drive letter of the Arcfra system disk, for example, /sda.
Status The status of the Arcfra system disk, including the following:
  • Normal
  • Abnormal
    • Arcfra system disk redundancy is insufficient.
    • Arcfra system disk status is abnormal.
    • Any member physical disk fails the S.M.A.R.T. test.
Type The type of Arcfra system disk, currently only supports hardware RAID 1.
Capacity The total capacity of the Arcfra system disk.
Model The model of the Arcfra system disk, that is, the model of the storage controller.
Firmware version The firmware version of the Arcfra system disk.
Data center The data center to which the Arcfra system disk belongs.
Cluster The cluster to which the Arcfra system disk belongs.
Host The host to which the Arcfra system disk belongs.
Usage and partition The capacity of each partition of the Arcfra system disk, including the following:
  • Boot partition
  • EFI system partition
  • System partition
  • Metadata partition
  • Unpartitioned

Member physical disk information

Parameter Description
Disk number The number of the member physical disk, including 0 and 1.
Status The status of each member physical disk, including normal and S.M.A.R.T failure.
Remaining lifetime The remaining lifetime of each member physical disk.
Type The type of each member physical disk.
Firmware version The firmware version of each member physical disk.
Serial number The hardware serial number of each member physical disk.

Hardware information

Parameter Description
Number of physical disks The total number of physical disks on the host.
The total number of HDDs and the number of HDDs in the following states:
  • Normal
  • Abnormal disk · Action required
  • Not in use
  • Faulty disk · Quarantined
  • Operating
The total number of NVMe SSDs and the number of NVMe SSDs in the following states:
  • Normal
  • Abnormal disk · Action required
  • Not in use
  • Faulty disk · Quarantined
  • Operating
The total number of SATA SSDs and SAS SSDs and the number of SATA SSDs and SAS SSDs in the following states:
  • Normal
  • Abnormal disk · Action required
  • Not in use
  • Faulty disk · Quarantined
  • Operating
Number of network ports (AVE only) The total number of network ports and the number of ports in the following physical link states:
  • Connected
  • Disconnected
  • Unknown
Number of USB devices (AVE only) The total number of USB devices and the number of USB devices in the following states:
  • Mounted
  • Unmounted
Number of SCVM virtual NICs (VMware ESXi only) The total number of SCVM virtual NICs and the number of SCVM virtual NICs in the following states:
  • Connected
  • Disconnected

Monitoring information

CPU

The AVE platform displays the CPU usage of the host, and the VMware ESXi platform displays the CPU usage of the ESXi host and the usage of CPUs allocated to SCVM. The following four metrics are included in both platforms:

  • Total CPU: Sum of physical cores of all CPUs × frequency.
  • Average CPU usage: Average CPU usage over the last 2 hours.
  • CPU usage: Hover over any point on the line chart to display the CPU usage at that moment. CPU usage = (CPU consumption / Total CPU) * 100%.
  • Maximum CPU usage: The line chart will highlight the maximum CPU usage in the last 2 hours.

CPU allocation

CPU allocation information is displayed only when the virtualization platform is AVE.

Parameter Description
Shared CPU allocation (%) Shared CPU allocation = CPU shared allocation / (Number of CPUs on the host - Number of exclusive CPUs - Number of system-reserved CPUs).
  • Number of CPUs on the host: The total number of logical processors, which is the number of physical cores of all CPUs on the host × the total number of threads per CPU core.
  • Number of exclusive CPUs: The number of CPU threads that have been exclusively used, the number of logical processors that have been exclusively used.
  • Number of system-reserved CPUs: The number of physical cores of the CPU reserved for the system on the host × the total number of threads per CPU core.
Shared CPU allocation for active VMs

Shared CPU allocation for active VMs (%) = Shared CPU allocation for active VMs / (Number of CPUs on the host - Number of exclusive CPUs - Number of system-reserved CPUs)

Memory

The AVE platform displays the physical memory usage of the host, while the VMware ESXi platform displays both the physical memory usage of the ESXi host and the usage of the memory allocated to SCVM. The following four metrics are included in both platforms:

  • Total memory: Total capacity of the physical memory.
  • Average memory usage: The average memory usage in the last 2 hours.
  • Memory usage: Hover over any point on the line chart to display the memory usage at that moment. Memory usage = (Memory consumption / Total memory) * 100%.
  • Maximum memory usage: The line chart marks the highest memory usage in the past 2 hours.

Storage

Parameter Description
Total storage capacity The total storage capacity on the host.
Used The used storage capacity on the host.
Invalid The invalid storage capacity on the host.
Available

The available storage capacity on the host.

Available capacity = Total capacity - Used capacity - Invalid capacity.

Storage usage The percentage of the used storage capacity on the host to the total storage capacity.

Cache

Cache information is displayed only when the cluster uses a storage-tiered mode.

Parameter Description
Total

The total cache partition capacity on the host.

  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with hybrid flash or multiple types of SSDs, the cache partition is divided into read cache and write cache. You can view the total capacity of the read cache and write cache respectively.
  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with a single type of SSDs, all cache partitions are write caches.
Used

The total allocated cache partition capacity on the host.

  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with hybrid flash or multiple types of SSDs, you can view data in three scenarios: total (read + write), read, and write.
  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with a single type of SSDs, the cache capacity displayed is the total cache, that is, the write cache data.
Invalid

It refers to the cache partition capacity that cannot be allocated, including the total data space capacity provided by unhealthy and online physical disks, nodes with storage failures, and properly unmounted physical disks.

  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with hybrid flash or multiple types of SSDs, you can view data in three scenarios: total (read + write), read, and write.
  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with a single type of SSDs, the cache capacity displayed is the total cache, that is, the write cache data.
Available

The host's remaining cache partition capacity available for allocation.

  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with hybrid flash or multiple types of SSDs, you can view data in three scenarios: total (read + write), read, and write.
  • When the host storage in the cluster is configured with a single type of SSDs, the cache capacity displayed is the total cache, that is, the write cache data.

Available cache capacity = Total cache capacity - Used cache capacity - Invalid cache capacity

Cache usage The proportion of used cache capacity to the total cache capacity.
Reserved When the volume pinning function is enabled, it displays the total cache capacity that the host reserves for virtual volumes with volume pinning enabled.

Logical processor

Logical processor information is displayed only when the virtualization platform is AVE.

Parameter Description
Total number of logical processors The number of physical cores of all CPUs on the host × the total number of threads per CPU core. This parameter indicates the total number of logical processors that can execute tasks independently.
Used When the CPU exclusive function is enabled, it displays the number of logical processors that are exclusively used by virtual machines.
Reserved The number of logical processors reserved to be shared by system services and virtual machines.
Available When the CPU exclusive function is enabled, it displays the number of logical processors on the host that can be exclusively used by virtual machines.

CPU temperature

After configuring the IPMI information for the host, you can view the CPU temperature.

Parameter Description
CPU temperature The real-time temperature of each CPU sensor.

Fan speed

After configuring the IPMI information for the host, you can view the fan speed.

Parameter Description
Fan speed The real-time speed of each fan.

Virtual machine information on the host

The total number of virtual machines on the host is displayed only when the virtualization platform is AVE. Click the widget to navigate to the virtual machine list.
