Set the policy for automatic execution of the backup plan, including the backup schedule, the full backup schedule, and the backup window.
Set the backup schedule
Execution type | Default value | Range | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Minutes | 15 minutes | 15 ~ 59 minutes | The system will start timing at 00:00 daily and perform backup jobs according to the schedule. |
Hours | 1 hour | 1 ~ 23 hours | |
Days | 1 day | 1 ~ 30 days | Set one or more execution times, ensuring a minimum interval of 15 minutes between each. |
Weeks | Every Monday | Monday ~ Sunday | You can choose to execute on one or several days of the week, and need to set one or more execution times, with a minimum interval of 15 minutes between each. |
Note:
If a previous backup job is still in progress at the scheduled time, the system will skip the automatic execution.
Set full backup schedule
Specify the execution time for full backups among all backup execution times. Incremental backups will be performed at unspecified times.
Set backup window
Choose whether to enable Perform only within window. The option is disabled by default. Once enabled, consider the following:
The minimum length for the backup window is 15 minutes.
The scheduled backup time must be within the time range of the backup window. If the scheduled backup time falls on the end time of the backup window, the backup job will not be performed.
If a backup job exceeds the backup window, the backup service will automatically stop this job and delete the corresponding virtual machine snapshots and backup files. If you do not want to stop it, check Continue backup until finished even if beyond this window.
