The management plane consists primarily of the ANS operator, AOC, and APIs. It manages all configuration-related API requests and all VPC networking operation and maintenance tasks.
AOC: Provides the UI and interacts with the ANS control plane and operations management plane. It distributes service configuration and operations management configuration through the relevant RESTful APIs.
ANS operator: Manages ANS service operations and licenses. It receives requests from AOC and triggers the corresponding actions.
The management plane provides the following main functions:
View or update ANS software licenses.
Manages installation package files for deploying and upgrading the ANS service.
Provides basic capabilities such as monitoring and alerting, authentication, and data collection to reduce the complexity of system operations.
Manages the lifecycle of all create, read, update, and delete tasks, filters all user configurations, and validates the relevant parameters.
Persistently stores and distributes user configuration via northbound REST APIs.
