Overview

ANS supports VPC networking, providing securely isolated network spaces in Arcfra enterprise cloud or hyperconverged environments. Using virtualized network functions such as edge gateways and firewalls, it enables secure interconnection within and beyond virtual networks, allowing users to quickly and flexibly deploy a unified enterprise cloud network across multiple data centers.

  • Customizable virtual network environment

    • Using GENEVE-based overlay virtualization network technology, VPC networking achieves isolation and decoupling from the underlay network. Users can create VPCs on standard servers and general-purpose network equipment, reducing dependence on network hardware and lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for network construction, maintenance, and changes.

    • Supports building multiple logically isolated, independently managed VPCs. Each VPC configures its own IP addressing and virtualized network services without requiring any changes to physical devices.

  • Rich gateway capabilities

    Connects VPCs to traditional data centers and the public internet to meet traffic ingress, egress, and conversion requirements for different workloads:

    • Supports configuring a routing gateway so that virtual machines in a VPC can communicate with Layer 3 (L3) networks outside the VPC using private addresses.

    • Supports configuring a NAT gateway with DNAT and SNAT capabilities, allowing users to translate private addresses in a VPC to external subnet addresses as needed.

    • Supports configuring an L2 gateway to connect a VPC subnet with a VLAN VM network into an L2 subnet, allowing virtual machines in the VPC to directly access services on the VLAN network.

    • Supports configuring VPC peering so that virtual machines in two VPCs can communicate using private addresses.

  • Virtual machine security

    • Supports extending beyond local data center boundaries to multiple data centers across larger geographic regions. Applications can be deployed to different data centers to quickly achieve high availability, load balancing, or disaster recovery across multiple data centers.

    • Supports configuring security groups, security policies, and quarantine policies for each VPC to protect virtual machine resources in the VPC.

  • Unified cloud and network management

    • Supports GUI unified management, configuration, monitoring, and operations of virtual machines, distributed storage, and virtualized networks in enterprise cloud or hyperconverged environments.

    • Seamlessly integrates with various cloud platforms through open APIs to provide enterprises with automated and flexible network configuration options, better supporting agile cloud applications.
