Creating the Arcfra Migration Tool virtual machine

Recommended configuration

When creating the virtual machine on different virtualization platforms, the recommended configurations are as follows:

• VMware ESXi:

  • Guest OS family and version: Linux, CentOS 7 (64-bit)
  • CPU: 6
  • Memory: 6 GB
  • Disk: 30 GB
  • Network adapter: at least 1

• AVE:

  • Guest OS type: Linux
  • vCPU: 6
  • Memory: 6 GiB
  • Disk: 30 GiB
  • Disk bus: VirtIO
  • Virtual NIC: at least 1
  • Virtual NIC mode: VirtIO

Procedure

1. Upload the ISO image to the cluster where Arcfra Migration Tool will be deployed.

2. Create a new virtual machine based on the recommended configuration provided above, and then mount the ISO image.
