Arcfra Migration Tool must be connected to the management networks of both the source and destination clusters.
To accelerate data migration, you can connect Arcfra Migration Tool to the storage network of the destination Arcfra Cloud Operating System cluster using Arcfra Virtualization Engine, that is, ACOS (AVE) cluster, allowing data transmission through the storage network.
If the destination cluster has been configured with an access network, you need to configure an access network for Arcfra Migration Tool to connect to the target cluster so that it can access the iSCSI storage for driver injection.
Before migrating virtual machines, check whether the respective entities have enabled firewall. If enabled, ensure that the corresponding TCP ports are opened for the firewall.
| Entity | TCP port to be opened | Description |
|---|---|---|
| vCenter Server | 80, 443 | Used for the communication between Arcfra Migration Tool and vCenter Server. |
| ESXi host | 902 | Used for data migration between Arcfra Migration Tool and the ESXi host. |
| Host in ACOS (AVE) cluster | 80, 443 | Used for the communication between Arcfra Migration Tool and Arcfra Virtualization Engine. |
| 860, 3260, 3261 | Used for the communication between Arcfra Migration Tool and iSCSI service. | |
| 10200–10207 | Used for data migration between Arcfra Migration Tool and the block storage service. |
