Editing or deleting a VM network

Editing a VM network

Precaution

  • When editing a VM network, be sure to meet the requirements for associating a virtual distributed switch with VM networks.

  • When the VM network is associated with the following resource objects, the VLAN type, VLAN ID, and MTU cannot be modified.

    • Virtual machines
    • Virtual machines in the recycle bin
    • VM snapshots
    • VM templates
    • External subnets of a VPC network
    • Layer 2 gateways of a VPC network

Procedure

  1. On the AOC cluster page, select a cluster and click All > VM network to access the VM network page.

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) on the right side of the target VM network and select Edit.

  3. In the opened Edit VM network dialog box, edit the corresponding information.

    For detailed parameter descriptions, refer to the Basic information section in the VM network details section.

  4. Click Save.

Deleting a VM network

Precaution

  • When there is only one VM network in the cluster, you cannot delete it.

  • When a VM network is associated with the following resources, you cannot delete it. If you wish to delete it, you need to dissociate the VM network from all resources first.

    • Virtual machines
    • Virtual machines in the recycle bin
    • VM snapshots
    • VM templates
    • External subnets of a VPC network
    • Layer 2 gateways of a VPC network

Procedure

  1. On the AOC cluster page, select a cluster and click All > VM network to access the VM network page.

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) on the right side of the target VM network and select Delete.

  3. In the opened dialog box, click Delete.
