    ACOS 6.2.0
  • Deploying an Arcfra Cloud Operating System cluster>
  • Using VMware ESXi (without the active-active feature enabled)

Installing ESXi on each node

You can access the IPMI IP address of each node through a browser, check the BIOS settings, and remotely install and configure ESXi.

Prerequisite

  • You have planned the cluster thoroughly, obtained the complete IP address allocation table, and configured the IPMI IP address for each node.
  • You have obtained the VMware ESXi installation file. To enable RDMA for the cluster, the ESXi edition needs to meet the configuration requirements specified in the RDMA requirements section.

Precaution

Before installing ESXi, it is recommended to set the boot mode of all servers to UEFI. If the host uses MegaRAID 9560-8i as the RAID card or needs to enable the NVMe passthrough hard disk hot-plug function, be sure to set the boot mode to UEFI.

The following will use Dell servers (C6420) for each node as an example to illustrate the procedure of installing and deploying the ACOS cluster.
