The advanced monitoring can be deployed in in the ACOS (VMware ESXi) cluster. You can deploy advanced monitoring for a single cluster, or select multiple clusters compatible with the same advanced monitoring version for batch deployment.
Prerequisite
Default recommended configuration
Based on the node scale of the cluster, the system will automatically specify the recommended resource configuration in the deployment page of advanced monitoring. Details are as follows:
| Number of cluster nodes (n) | vCPU | Memory | Data disk capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| n ≤ 4 | 4 | 6 GiB | 60 GiB |
| 5 ≤ n ≤ 31 | n | 1.5 * n GiB (round up) | 15 * n GiB |
| n ≥ 32 | 32 | 48 GiB | 480 GiB |
Procedure
In the left sidebar of the AOC System configuration page, select Advanced monitoring.
In the Cluster without advanced monitoring deployed field, select one or more clusters to deploy advanced monitoring, click Deploy or Batch deploy. You should see the pop-up Deploy advanced monitoring dialog box.
Upload the corresponding version of the advanced monitoring image file according to the version requirements.
Configure the following parameters accordingly.
| Field | Description | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| vCPU | The number of vCPUs allocated to the advanced monitoring virtual machine. | Each version of the advanced monitoring application has default vCPU, memory, and storage capacity requirements. If you do not modify them separately, the default allocation will be used. If you need to modify it, the modified quantity and capacity should not be lower than the default requirements. |
| Memory | The amount of memory allocated to the advanced monitoring application virtual machine. | |
| Data disk capacity | The total capacity of the data disk allocated to the advanced monitoring virtual machine. | |
| VM IP | The IP address configured for the advanced monitoring application virtual machine. | As the advanced monitoring application will be associated with a virtual network, its IP address must be in the network segment of the storage network and cannot conflict with any assigned IP addresses. |
Click Deploy to start the deployment task.
