Associating clusters with a backup service

After the backup service is deployed, associate the ACOS (AVE) cluster where the virtual machines to be protected reside with the backup service.

• A backup service can be associated with multiple ACOS (AVE) clusters, and an ACOS (AVE) cluster can also be associated with multiple backup services.
• The backup service can only be associated with clusters whose connection status to AOC is Connected.

Procedure

1. Log in to AOC, and click Settings on the Backup & DR page.
2. In the pop-up window, select a deployed backup service and click Associated cluster.
3. Click Edit associations, and in the pop-up operation page, add one or more ACOS (AVE) clusters.
4. Click Save to complete the association between the backup service and the cluster.

After association, you can view the list of clusters associated with the backup service on the Associated cluster page.

Parameter	Description
Cluster name	The name of the cluster associated with the backup service.
Connection with AOC	The connection status between the cluster and AOC.
Cluster IP	The IP address used when associating the cluster with AOC.
Data center	The data center to which the cluster belongs in AOC.
