Rolling back the kernel version

If the kernel upgrade fails or the upgraded version does not meet expectations, you can refer to the following steps to roll back the kernel.

Procedure

  1. Run the following command and select the kernel version to roll back to. The host will boot with this kernel by default after restarting.

    skc boot

  2. Log in to AOC, select the host on which this node resides from the list of hosts in the cluster, click the ellipsis (...) on the right and choose Entering maintenance mode.

  3. Once the host is in maintenance mode, select the target host from the cluster's host list, click on the ... on the right side, and choose Reboot. After that, enter the reason for rebooting and then restart the host.

  4. Run the uname -a command to confirm whether the current kernel has successfully rolled back to the target version.
