LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) is a Layer 2 protocol defined in 802.1ab. Devices in a network can use LLDP to send information such as management addresses, device identifiers, and interface identifiers to other devices in the same LAN. The LLDP protocol makes it easy to check physical link connections. You can view information such as the physical switch port, name, and VLAN settings connected to a physical network port of a host in real time.
LLDP is enabled by default and does not require manual configuration.
