Known issues

  • When configuring static IP addresses via cloud-init on Ubuntu operating systems that use the Netplan network configuration tool, if multiple configuration files exist in the /etc/netplan directory, the system will execute them sequentially, which may cause configuration conflicts, thus affecting the effectiveness of network settings.
  • For a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2016 virtual machine created from a VM template that has the VM Initialization Tool installed, the system will restart three times after the password is entered upon startup. Once the restarts are complete, the virtual machine can be used normally.
  • Static routes cannot be configured when creating a Windows virtual machine from a VM template that has the VM Initialization Tool installed. You need to configure static routes manually on the virtual machine after creation.
  • When creating a Windows virtual machine, if you do not choose to use cloudbase-init to configure the network or DHCP network, the DNS server configurations will not take effect.
  • When creating a Windows virtual machine, the initialization configuration may not take effect due to the virtual machine's certain services starting too quickly. You can refer to the Q&A section for solutions.
