After installing and configuring the VM Initialization Tool, shut down the virtual machine and unmount the CD-ROM on which the tool ISO image is mounted. If the virtual machine already has a NIC static IP configuration file, it is recommended that you delete the file manually. Then, refer to Management > Managing the content library > Managing VM templates > Creating a VM template section to convert the virtual machine into a template.

Note:

When converting the virtual machine with the VM Initialization Tool into a template, be sure to mark the VM Initialization Tool installed option as Enabled, otherwise the initialization data cannot be configured when later creating virtual machines from this template.
