Known issues

  • When configuring static IP address via cloud-init on Ubuntu operating systems that use the Netplan network configuration tool, if multiple configuration files exist in the /etc/netplan directory, the system will execute them sequentially, which may cause configuration conflicts, thus affecting the effectiveness of network settings.

  • For Windows 7 and Windows Server 2016 virtual machines created from the cloudbase-init VM template, the system will restart three times after entering the password at startup. Once the restarts are complete, the virtual machine can be used normally.

  • When creating Windows virtual machines using cloudbase-init templates, configuring static routes and DHCP is not supported, which need to be manually configured after creation.

  • When configuring Network Device during creating Windows virtual machines from cloud-init templates, if Not configured in cloud-init configuration is selected, the DNS server configuration will not take effect.

  • When creating Windows cloudbase-init virtual machines, the initial configuration may not take effect due to the virtual machine's certain services starting too quickly. Refer to the Q&A section for methods to resolve this issue.
