Step 4: Converting the virtual machine with cloudbase-init into a template

After configuring cloudbase-init, power off the virtual machine and unmount the CD-ROM with the mounted Arcfra VM Initialization Tool ISO image, and then convert it into a template. See the Management > Managing the content library > Managing VM templates > Creating a VM template section for specific instructions.

Note:

When converting the virtual machine with cloudbase-init into a template, be sure to mark the cloud-init installed option as Enabled, otherwise the initialization data cannot be configured when later creating virtual machines from this template.
