The email alert notification configured in AOC is no longer valid. After an alert is triggered, the system cannot send notifications through the email channel normally.
SMTP config for alerts is invalid.
When an anomaly occurs in the cluster or on a node, email alerts cannot be triggered and delivered normally, preventing administrators from receiving alert information in time and delaying the detection and handling of failures.
Common causes include:
The network between the cluster and the email server is unreachable, for example, network connections are blocked by firewall policies.
The email server configuration is incorrect, such as incorrect account, password, or security mode settings.
The email server itself is experiencing an anomaly and cannot process requests normally.
Investigate each possible cause in order:
Confirm network connectivity between the cluster and the email server; check whether the firewall or security rules are blocking the relevant ports.
Verify that the account and password configured for the email server are correct.
Check the operating status of the email server and confirm that it can provide service normally.
After troubleshooting and resolving the issue, use the Send test email feature in AOC to verify that the email can be delivered successfully.
