    ANS 3.3.1
  • Arcfra Network Service

Scaling the ANS service

After the deployment, you can scale Arcfra network controllers by scaling out the number of Arcfra network controllers and scaling up the resource configuration.

Viewing the Arcfra network controller information

  1. Enter the Arcfra Operation Center (AOC) Network and security page, click Settings in the left sidebar, and select the ANS service for which you want to update.

  2. Click Arcfra Network Controller in Operations.

Information:

If the total amount and usage of vCPUs, memory, and storage cannot be displayed, there are two possible reasons:

  • The cluster to which the Arcfra network controller virtual machines belong is not associated with Observability.

When the collected monitoring data size in the cluster is about to reach the reserved resource limit for basic monitoring, some metrics of the virtual machines will stop being collected. Refer to the Deployment > Deploying Observability > Deployment steps > Deploying an observability service in a cluster section to deploy the observability service.

  • An Arcfra network controller virtual machine is abnormal.

When the virtual machine status is Updating, Suspend, Shutdown, or Unknown, related metrics cannot be obtained. Restore the virtual machine to normal status first.

Scaling out the Arcfra network controllers

You can scale out the number of Arcfra network controller virtual machines as needed to improve the availability of the ANS service.

Before enabling the distributed firewall or the VPC networking feature, the number of Arcfra network controller virtual machines needs to be increased to 3 or 5.

  1. Enter the AOC Network and security page, click Settings in the left sidebar, and select the ANS service to be updated.

  2. In Operations, click Arcfra Network Controller to enter the configuration page.

  3. Click Scale out on the right side of Arcfra network controller VMs.

  4. Select the number of virtual machines, and configure the VM network and management IP address for each newly added Arcfra network controller. After completion, click Save.

Scaling up the Arcfra network controller configuration

To enable two or more features, you need to scale up the Arcfra network controller configuration to at least Medium.

  1. Enter the AOC Network and security page, click Settings in the left sidebar, and select the ANS service to be updated.

  2. In Operations, click Arcfra Network Controller to enter the configuration page.

  3. Click Scale up on the right side of Configuration.

  4. Select the configuration and click Save.
