Managing server pools

A server pool is a group of backend servers that provide services for applications, responsible for receiving and responding to client requests distributed by the load balancer.

Backend servers can be virtual machines located in the cluster where ANS resides, virtual machines in other clusters, physical machines, or containers in Kubernetes clusters.

Note:

  • Multiple server pools can be created in an ANS service.
  • Each virtual service must be associated with a server pool, and a single server pool can be associated with multiple virtual services at the same time.
