    ACOS 6.1.1
  • Managing virtual volumes

Exporting a virtual volume

If you need to import the virtual volumes in the ACOS (AVE) cluster to other virtualization platforms, you can use the export function to export the virtual volumes in the .raw and .qcow2 formats.

Precaution

Shared virtual volumes cannot be exported.

Procedure

  1. On the page for an organization, a data center, or a cluster, click All > Virtual volume and then locate the virtual volume to be exported.

    • Click the virtual volume to access its details panel. Then click Export in the left upper corner of the details panel.
    • To export multiple virtual volumes, select all the virtual volumes to be exported in the list, and then click Export above the list.
  2. In the pop-up Export virtual volume dialog box, choose the export format based on the target virtualization platform's support for the virtual volume file format, and then click Export. During the export process, you can view the export status of the virtual volume in the task center.

  3. After the export is complete, download the exported virtual volume file. There are two ways to download:

    • In the task center, under the current export task entry, click Download.
    • In the virtual virtual details panel, to the right of the prompt for the generated file, click Download.

The exported file can only be retained in AOC for 72 hours. You need to download it in time.
