Step 4: Converting the virtual machine with cloud-init into a template

After configuring cloud-init, shut down your virtual machine and convert it into a template. For specific instructions, refer to the "Creating a virtual machine template" chapter.

Note:

When converting your virtual machine with cloud-init into a template, make sure to mark the cloud-init Installed option as Enabled, otherwise the initialization data cannot be configured when you later create virtual machines from this template.
