The VM quarantine policy applies to a single virtual machine. You can apply a quarantine policy to a virtual machine when it is under attack or when you want to isolate it for debugging. There are two types of quarantine policies: strict quarantine and forensic quarantine.
Strict quarantine: Once applied, all ingress and egress traffic of the virtual machine (including all L2 and L3 traffic) is blocked. The virtual machine is completely isolated from the outside and cannot connect to the network. You can only access the virtual machine through the management controller.
Forensic quarantine: You can specify an allowlist for ingress traffic to the virtual machine and an allowlist for egress traffic from the virtual machine, to help diagnose and analyze faults on the virtual machine.
