ExternalDNS is an open-source DNS tool. When K8s application services are exposed externally as LoadBalancer or Ingress, ExternalDNS can dynamically add and delete DNS records in DNS servers, resolving the specified hostname to the IP address of a LoadBalancer or Ingress Controller. AKE provides the ExternalDNS addon, which works with the MetalLB and Ingress Controller addons to provide flexible and diverse service access methods.
