When a node or physical disk failure occurs, the remaining space in the cluster may be insufficient to complete data recovery, causing the data safety level to remain degraded for an extended period.
When large amounts of new data are written to the cluster, write failures may occur due to storage space exhaustion.
The proportion of allocated space or effective data space in the cluster has exceeded the configured threshold. Common causes include:
Workload space (including snapshots) usage is continuously growing.
A node or physical disk failure has reduced the available space.
If the high space utilization is caused indirectly by reduced effective space due to a hardware or service failure, fix the failed hardware or service to restore normal capacity first.
If the failed hardware or service cannot be repaired in the short term, or if there is no hardware or service failure and the space shortage is due to normal workload growth, consider expanding physical disk capacity or adding nodes to increase the overall cluster capacity.
If immediate expansion is not possible, consider clearing historical snapshots based on actual workload requirements. Delete older snapshots that have no dependencies first.
