Uninstalling backup service

When the backup service deployment fails or the backup service is no longer needed, you can uninstall the backup service.

Before uninstalling the backup service, it is recommended to manually delete all backup repositories associated with the backup service to avoid data residue.

Risk warning

After the backup service is uninstalled, except for the backup files retained in the backup repository, other data will be deleted. Operate with caution.

Prerequisites

  • The backup service to be uninstalled has no associated backup plans.

  • The backup service currently has no ongoing backup or recovery jobs.

Precautions

  • During the backup service uninstallation process, the associated backup repository cannot be operated.

  • During the uninstallation of the backup service, the original installation package cannot be deleted. After the uninstallation is complete, it can be deleted if the original installation package is not associated with any backup or replication service.

Procedure

  1. Log in to AOC, click Settings in the Backup & DR page to enter the function management page.
  2. Select the backup service to be uninstalled and click Uninstall.
  3. In the opened dialog box, click Uninstall.
