The replication service runs as a virtual machine in an ACOS (AVE) cluster. Therefore, the replication service has the high availability features of ACOS (AVE) virtual machines. When the host where a replication service virtual machine runs is down, the system re-creates a replication service virtual machine on another healthy host in the cluster to ensure that the replication service can continue running and providing services.
If replication, failover, failback, or permanent failover jobs are running when HA is triggered for the replication service virtual machine, these jobs are re-executed after the virtual machine is restarted by HA.
