The replication service is deployed as a virtual machine in an ACOS (AVE) cluster. Deploying the replication service requires setting up basic information, deployment location, and network information for the replication service virtual machine.
Prerequisite
AOC has been associated with the cluster where the replication service will be deployed.
The cluster has sufficient compute and storage resources.
Precaution
The installation package cannot be deleted immediately after deployment. It can be deleted only after all backup or replication services deployed using the installation package are upgraded to a later version or uninstalled.
Procedure
In the left sidebar of the Backup & DR page of AOC, select Settings to enter its management page.
In the pop-up dialog box, select + Deploy service -> Deploy replication service at the bottom of the left sidebar.
Enter the name and description of the replication service. Select the version of the replication service to be deployed.
Select the Cluster and Host for the replication service virtual machine.
Select the VM network for the Management network, Storage network, and Replication network of the replication service. For specific requirements, refer to the Network requirements section.
Only existing VM networks are supported. Select the VM network to which the NIC will be connected, and enter the IP address and subnet mask. For the management NIC, a gateway is also required.
Click Deploy to automatically deploy the replication service on the selected cluster and host.
