Taking a file controller offline

Prerequisite

  • Currently, the status of the file storage cluster is Normal.
  • Currently, the service status of all file controllers in the file storage cluster is Normal.
  • Currently, the status of all file systems in the file storage cluster is Online or Offline.

Risk warning

Taking a file controller offline might cause a brief I/O pause for file systems mounted via the file access IP of this file controller. Perform this operation during idle periods.

Procedure

  1. Select File storage cluster in the left navigation bar on the AOC File storage page, click the name of the target cluster in the file storage cluster list, navigate to the Settings tab, and select File controller.

  2. Click (...) to the right of the target file controller and select Take offline.

  3. In the pop-up dialog box, read the risk warning and click Take offline to confirm the operation.

Information:

After a file controller is taken offline, the system automatically triggers an alert indicating that this file controller is abnormal.
