The replication service supports one-click online upgrade. If multiple replication services are deployed in AOC, upgrading them to the same version is recommended.
Precautions
Before performing the upgrade, refer to the Compatibility in the ABDR Release Notes to ensure that the AOC version is compatible with the replication service version. If the AOC version is not compatible, upgrade to the compatible version first.
If the current replication service has ongoing replication or recovery jobs, or if there are replication objects in the Failover in progress state, the upgrade is not allowed.
During the upgrade process, the replication service may experience a brief offline period (about 10 seconds). If there are scheduled replication plans to be executed during this offline period, they will be automatically executed once after the upgrade is completed.
During the upgrade process, operations on replication plans and restore points cannot be performed. Additionally, the association between the replication service and the ACOS (AVE) cluster cannot be edited, nor can the replication and failback job settings be edited.
During the upgrade process, you cannot delete the original installation package. After the upgrade is complete, it can be deleted if the original installation package is not associated with any backup or replication service.
After the upgrade is complete, the installation package used for the upgrade is not allowed to be deleted until the replication service is upgraded to a higher version or uninstalled.
Log in to AOC, click Settings on the Backup & DR page to enter the function management page.
Select Installation package, then click Upload installation package to upload the Arcfra Backup & Disaster Recovery installation package in .tar.gz format for upgrade.
Click Upload.
After uploading the installation package for upgrade, the status of the replication service will be displayed as Upgrade available, indicating that the current replication service can be upgraded to a higher version.
Procedure
Log in to AOC, click Settings on the Backup & DR page to enter the function management page.
Select the replication service to be upgraded, click Service upgrade to view the basic information of the replication service and the upgradable versions. If there are multiple installation packages with the same CPU architecture and higher version numbers in AOC, multiple upgradable versions will be displayed.
Select the version to upgrade to, then click Upgrade.
In the opened dialog box, click Upgrade.
