Quick category search

The following resource types support quick category search by Status or Level (only available for alerts) on their corresponding resource list page.

• Cluster
• Tasks, alerts, events
• Virtual machines, virtual machine resource optimization results
• Hosts, physical disks

Procedure

Click the search box on the resource list page, and you can see the resource status classification in the dropdown list. Click a status (or level) to search for all resources in that status.

The following is an example of searching for a VM in the Shutdown state by quick category search.

1. On a virtual machine resource list page, click the search box, and you will see the dropdown list.
2. In the Status column, click Shutdown, and all virtual machines in the Shutdown state will be listed in the resource list.
