Observability virtual machines collect and store data such as network traffic, logs, and alerts during operation, thus occupying certain cluster resources. During deployment, the system resources occupied by the observability virtual machines determine the management capability of the observability services. You can configure the vCPU, memory, and logical storage capacity as needed based on whether to enable traffic visualization and the number of nodes to be managed.
The recommended configurations are as follows:
| Traffic visualization | Number of nodes | Recommended configuration | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vCPU | Memory | Storage space | ||
| Disabled | 8 or less | 4 | 8 GiB | 80 GiB × Number of nodes |
| 8 to 32 | 8 | 16 GiB | ||
| 32 to 64 | 16 | 32 GiB | ||
| Enabled | 8 or less | 8 | 17 GiB | |
| 8 to 32 | 13 | 34 GiB | ||
| 32 to 64 | 26 | 68 GiB | ||
