If the cluster no longer requires the traffic visualization feature, it can be disabled.
Prerequisites
The observability service associated with the cluster is operating normally.
There are no abnormal agents in the cluster.
Precautions
The process may cause network packet loss in the cluster. It is recommended to proceed with caution during idle business hours or after business operations are offline.
During the disabling process, in the Associated cluster list of the observability service associated with the cluster, the Association with observability service parameter for the cluster will display as Updating. At this time, operations such as uninstalling the observability service, editing service basic Info, and editing cluster and system service associations cannot be performed.
After disabling, the cluster's traffic data collection will stop, and historical data will be retained for 15 days. If re-enabled, you can view the original data from within 15 days on the Traffic visualization page.
Procedure
Log in to AOC, enter the System configuration page, and select Observability in the sidebar. This page displays all deployed observability services.
Click the observability service associated with the target cluster, click Associated cluster in the pop-up window, then click ... > Edit function status on the right side of the target cluster's row in the cluster list.
In the Edit function status dialog box that appears, turn off the radio button Traffic visualization.
After turning it off, you will not be able to view the VM network and system network traffic conditions of clusters associated with this observability service on the Traffic visualization page in AOC.
