    Observability 1.3.0
  • Managing observability

Associating an observability service with a cluster

After completing the deployment, you need to associate clusters to be observed with the observability service.

Association rules

  • An observability service can be associated with multiple clusters, but a cluster can only be associated with one observability service.
  • The total number of physical nodes in all clusters associated with an observability service should not exceed the requirements specified in Planning the observability service configuration.
  • The observability service can only be associated with clusters whose connection status to the AOC is Connected.

Precaution

If you dissociate a cluster with traffic visualization enabled, it may cause packet loss. It is recommended to perform this operation cautiously during idle time or when the business is offline.

Procedure

  1. Log in to AOC, enter the System configuration page, select Observability in the left sidebar, and click Settings in the upper right corner.
  2. In the pop-up window, select a deployed observability service, then choose Associated cluster.
  3. Click Edit associations, and in the pop-up dialog box, add one or more clusters.
  4. Click Save to complete the association between the observability service and the clusters.

After completing the association, you can view the list of clusters associated with the observability service on the Associated cluster page.

Parameter Description
Cluster name The name of the cluster associated with the observability service.
Cluster type The Arcfra Cloud Operating System cluster using Arcfra Virtualization Engine, that is, the ACOS (AVE) cluster.
Association with observability service The connection status between the cluster and the observability service.
  • Associated
  • Associating
  • Disassociating
  • Associated abnormally: At least one agent in the cluster is in an abnormal state.
  • Updating
Traffic visualization Whether traffic visualization is enabled. Only ACOS (AVE) clusters support enabling traffic visualization.
Cluster IP The management virtual IP address of the cluster.
Data center The data center to which the cluster belongs.

If you need to add or remove associated clusters, click Edit associations and perform the corresponding operations in the pop-up dialog box.
