Modifying the rack topology

When the actual rack topology changes, you need to make modifications accordingly on the Rack configuration page in AOC. Be aware of the following precautions before making any corresponding modifications.

Modification Precaution
Editing a rack If there are any chassis in the rack, the rack height cannot be lowered.
Deleting a rack If you delete a rack, all chassis in that rack will also be deleted and all hosts will be moved to the No rack specified list.
Editing a chassis If there are any hosts in the chassis, the chassis height and layout cannot be modified.
Deleting a chassis If you delete a chassis, all hosts in the chassis will be moved to the No rack specified list.
Moving a host
  • If there are no racks in the cluster, moving hosts is not allowed.
  • If there are any racks in the cluster, you can only move a host to a chassis that has been added to a rack and that has available positions.
