Viewing the PCI device information

If the virtualization platform is AVE, you can view detailed information about the PCI devices on a host in the PCI device list or the PCI device details panel.

  • PCI device list

On the AOC homepage, select a cluster, host, or active-active cluster availability zone in the left sidebar, and select All > PCI device to access the PCI device page. On this page, you can view the information about all PCI devices connected to the PCI bus within the resource range.

  • PCI device details panel

Click any PCI device in the PCI device list to open its details panel and view its detailed information.

Basic information

Value Description
Name The name of the PCI device.
PCI type The type of the PCI device.
Usage type Displays Encryption controller for encryption controllers. Displays - for other devices.
Device ID An identification code for the PCI device.
Subsystem device ID The subsystem identification code for the PCI device.
Class ID The ID that distinguishes different types of PCI devices or different specifications of PCI devices of the same type.
Vendor The vendor of the PCI device.
Vendor ID The vendor ID of the PCI device.
Subsystem vendor ID The subsystem vendor ID of the PCI device.
Usage mode Displays the actual usage mode of the PCI device:
  • Not passthrough
  • PCI passthrough
  • SR-IOV passthrough
SR-IOV status Displays the SR-IOV status only for the encryption controller:
  • Not supported: The encryption controller does not support SR-IOV.
  • Not enabled: The encryption controller supports SR-IOV, but is in one of the following conditions:
    • The host IOMMU status is Not enabled or SR-IOV is not enabled in BIOS.
    • VF is not configured.
  • Enabled: The SR-IOV on the encryption controller is enabled and taking effect. The encryption controller can be mounted on virtual machines via SR-IOV passthrough.
Total SR-IOV passthrough VFs Displays the total number of SR-IOV passthrough VFs sliced out of the encryption controller with SR-IOV enabled.
Used SR-IOV passthrough VFs Displays the total number of used SR-IOV passthrough VFs sliced out of the encryption controller with SR-IOV Enabled.
VM Displays the mounting status of the encryption controller:
  • If the encryption controller is mounted on a single virtual machine, the name of the virtual machine will be displayed.
  • If the encryption controller is mounted on multiple virtual machines, the number of virtual machines will be displayed.
  • Unmounted.

Displays - for other devices.

Host The host to which the PCI device belongs.
Host IOMMU status The IOMMU status of the host with the PCI device:
  • Not enabled: The host supports IOMMU but it is not enabled.
  • In effect: The host has IOMMU enabled and in effect.
  • Pending reboot: The host has enabled IOMMU but has not been rebooted.
  • Not supported: The host architecture does not support IOMMU.
Cluster The cluster where the host with the PCI device resides.
Data center The data center where the host with the PCI device resides.
Availability zone In an active-active cluster, displays the availability zone where the host with the PCI device resides.

Bus information

Parameter Description
Bus ID The PCI address corresponding to the PCI device.
Bus The bus number of the PCI device.
Slot The slot where the PCI device is located.
Function number The function number of the PCI device.
