Editing an NFS export

For an existing NFS Export, you can modify the name, update the IP allowlist, and increase the default number of replicas.

Note:

  • If the redundancy policy is replication, you cannot switch to erasure coding.
  • If the redundancy policy is erasure coding, you cannot switch to replication or modify the erasure coding configuration.
  • To change the redundancy policy of a virtual machine disk (from replication to erasure coding or the other way around), or to adjust erasure coding settings, you should clone the virtual machine or migrate its storage in vCenter. Choose the correct datastore for the new storage, and VMware ESXi will copy the disk completely, thereby updating its redundancy policy.
