The observability virtual machine collects and stores data such as network traffic, metrics, logs, and alerts during operation, so it needs to occupy certain cluster resources. The system resources owned by the observability virtual machine determine the management capability of the observability service. You can configure the vCPU, memory, and logical storage space based on whether you need to enable traffic visualization and the number of nodes to be managed.
The recommended configuration is as follows:
| Traffic visualization | Number of nodes | Recommended configuration | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vCPU | Memory | Storage space | ||
| Disabled | Below 8 nodes | 4 | 8 GiB | 80 GiB × Number of nodes |
| 8 to 32 nodes | 8 | 16 GiB | ||
| 32 to 64 nodes | 16 | 32 GiB | ||
| Enabled | Below 8 nodes | 8 | 17 GiB | |
| 8 to 32 nodes | 13 | 34 GiB | ||
| 32 to 64 nodes | 26 | 68 GiB | ||
