After deploying the AKE container registry, the system will prompt to proceed with deploying AKE. Once AKE is deployed, the system will create the management cluster. AKE runs in the AKE management cluster, providing essential functionalities of AKE such as the AKE cluster manager, AKE cluster addon manager, and API.
Prerequisites
The AKE container registry has been successfully deployed.
The AKE installation file has been obtained.
Preparations for the management cluster are completed.
Procedure
On the AOC Kubernetes service page, click Start deploying. You should see the Deploy AKE dialog box.
Upload the AKE installation file and enter the MD5 code.
You can drag and drop the installation file into the file area or click Select file to upload the file from your local machine.
Click Next to select the deployment mode for the AKE management cluster.
For information on each deployment mode's use cases and resource requirements, refer to the description in Planning resource for the management cluster.
Select a time zone for AKE. The system defaults to the browser's time zone.
The selected time zone will be used as the management cluster's time zone and the default time zone for the workload cluster. The management cluster's time zone cannot be edited after AKE deployment, while the time zone of the workload cluster can be edited when creating the workload cluster.
Click Next to configure the network information for the AKE management cluster according to Planning network for the management cluster.
Node network: Configure the network for each node in the management cluster. You can select a VM network that belongs to the ACOS cluster where the AKE is located, and note that this VM network should share the same virtual distributed switch with the management network of the ACOS.
Management cluster IP pool: Configure the IP pool for the management cluster. After configuration, the system can flexibly assign static IPs to nodes and the control plane VIP, and is responsible for IP management and reclaim.
When setting the IP range for the IP pool, you should also specify the subnet mask length (8 - 32) and gateway information, and configure DNS servers. Multiple IP ranges can be added to the IP pool. The DNS server address cannot be 127.0.0.1.
Control plane VIP configuration: You can manually enter the IP address or have it assigned by the IP pool.
When selecting Assigned by IP pool, the system will assign a static IP from the management cluster's IP pool.
Click Deploy to start deploying AKE. You can view task progress in the AOC Task.
After deployment, you can view the current status of the AKE management cluster on the Overview page, along with information about control plane nodes and worker nodes in the cluster. Click the Management cluster card to view more detailed information.
